At Blue Diamond Growers, almonds are all we do. Our grower-owners have been perfecting almond crops for more than a century and creating sustainable farming operations for future generations. During each step of almond growing, processing, and marketing, our products are cared for by the hearts and hands of each Blue Diamond grower-owner and team member. We are a leading agricultural cooperative proud of our legacy and ability to supply high-quality almonds to our partners, customers, and consumers around the world.
There’s a reason the industry honors the almond with a national celebration every February 16. Saturday marks a special day – National Almond Day – and I hope you join us in giving this healthy, versatile nut the recognition it deserves. With Blue Diamond products sold in more than 90 countries, all 50 states and online, you too can celebrate with your favorite almond snack.
Blue Diamond’s facilities are located throughout the Central Valley growing region giving me unique opportunities as President and CEO to interact with our grower-owners. Earlier this week, I was welcomed into the home of a Blue Diamond grower in Live Oak (located just north of Yuba City in Northern California). It was indeed an honor to speak to growers, friends and family members about the state of the almond market in such an intimate setting.
Occasions such as this broaden the importance of National Almond Day – that it honors not only the almond itself but the dedication of our family of growers and of the entire industry to deliver the benefits of almonds to the world.
Happy National Almond Day!
