As state agencies continue to interpret their role in the fight to conserve California’s water supply, I am thankful that leaders such as Governor Brown and CDFA Secretary Karen Ross continue to protect our state’s food production industry.

CDFA Secretary Ross penned a strong op-ed in today’s Modesto Bee, highlighting the importance of agriculture to California’s and the nation’s food supply. Check out her piece here: What happens to ag water? Eventually, people eat and drink it

The Governor’s office issued a press release today announcing that he will propose legislation to help local officials better enforce conservation requirements and will direct state agencies to streamline environmental review of local water supply projects.
