Blue Diamond Members Recognized for Agricultural Advocacy

Blue Diamond is fortunate enough to have grower-owners who are constantly advocating for agriculture within the state and the country. These industry leaders are stewards of the land and a positive member of their community. Today, I would like to acknowledge a few Blue Diamond growers who have earned recognition for their dedication to agriculture.

Daniel Bays- Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award

Jesse Sanchez- White House Champion for Change

Matthew Efird- DTN/Progressive Farmer’s 2016 America’s Best Young Farmers and Ranchers

These three men’s commitment to agriculture is inspiring and their recognition is well deserved. From innovating water efficiency techniques, sustainable agriculture activities, healthy soil practices or leadership, they are great examples of leadership and advocacy within the industry, especially amid the fourth year of the California drought. We are truly honored to have Daniel, Jesse and Matthew as members of the cooperative.

Because of his selection for the program, Matthew Efird was featured in a short video explaining his farm operations and managing the CA drought.
